“Their eyes had failed…” - the original sentence is more specific and all about the numbers. It mentions two eyes, four limbs, five internal organs (heart, liver, lungs, kidneys and spleen) and seven orifices (eyes, nostrils, ears and mouth). Unfortunately, it didn’t fit well in the speech bubble.
